We want this website to be more that a marketing tool.

Last year our conference was our focus and the website was secondary. Now we’re redeveloping our website as a place to exchange information and, most important, initiate or support action.

There is so much we could do – news articles, community success stories, an events calendar, a resources page where people can post documents and links they found useful. We could have discussion boards about first-mile solutions and metrics to measure our progress. I’d like an ‘opportunities’ page where people can post ideas about useful projects such as a map of available wireless towers or a social networking site for isolated entrepreneurs. Perhaps the most urgent feature is a who's who (and doing what) wiki where we can build a directory of all the current inititaives.

Please help us set our priorities. What features would you find useful? What RRS feeds would you use? What discussions would you participate in?
