The first cut of the plan is expected to have several components. First it will outline our planned Rural Connections proposal which features a series of community-to-community videoconferences to aid and encourage development of local broadband plans.

It will also examine other potential projects that could complement this core initiative. These include an examination of collaboration tools available to rural Albertans, a "demonstration project" using social networking (LinkedIn) to connect with rural broadband chamions outside Alberta, a youth video contest, and a program of awards for communities who develop broadband initiatives.
